A Broad and Diverse Scientific Sector
The Biology, Medicine, and Health (BMS) Pole covers an exceptionally broad and diverse scientific field, comprising research units of varying disciplines and sizes. Its themes range from public health to fundamental biology, and from physiology to adaptive imaging. The common thread linking all these areas is, of course, health.
Through its 9 research units, the BMS Pole brings together over 200 researchers and faculty members, including 22 EPST researchers. It also hosts a joint service unit that provides support not only to the BMS research units but also to the wider laboratories of the University of Lorraine, as well as to the academic and industrial communities beyond the university. The Pole features 6 cutting-edge technological platforms, most of which are certified by IBiSA and/or INFRA+ LUE.
